29; <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL <br />Mr. Phillip Mathay, 560 Neal Street, requested that speed limit signs be in- <br />stalled on Neal Street. Mr. Mathay stated that the Police have done all they can <br />to enforce speeding laws but when they are not patroling that area the speeding <br />resumes. <br />After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman <br />McWilliams that speed limit signs be installed on Neal Street as requested, and <br />that all attempts be made to enforce these regulations. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of Schulte - Blackwell Development Co., P. 0. Box 817, Campbell, for an <br />amendment to Ord. No. 309 rezonin: a .roximatel 110 acres located on the east <br />side of Foothill Road,/ south of U. S. Highway 50, from the Interim A District to <br />the R -1, R -2 and C -N Districts. <br />Mayor Long declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Mr. Fales read the report of the Planning Commission which recommended to the <br />City Council that the area within the subject application requested for rezoning <br />to the R -1 District be approved but that the 8 acre parcel proposed for C -N Die- <br />trict zoning and the 8 proposed R -2 lots be held in the "A" District pending <br />further study by the Planning Commission regarding the establishment of a com- <br />munity park in the area. <br />The City Clerk reported that there had been no written public hearing communi- <br />cations. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the <br />Public Hearing be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Councilman Gerton introduced Ordinance No. 450, amending Ordinance No. 309, <br />rezoning the area within the subject application to R -1 which excludes the 8 <br />acre parcel proposed for C -N District and the 8 proposed R -2 lots. <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS were not scheduled for this meeting. <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />A••roval of Final Subdivision Ma ►• Improvement Plans - Tract No. 2829 Vine and <br />Terrace Unit No. 3) <br />Mt. Fales stated that this map and plans have been checked and approved by <br />the Public Works Department. Mr. Fales indicated that all necessary fees and <br />bonds have been received and the subdivision agreement is ready for execution. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams <br />that Resolution No. 66 -46, approving the Final Subdivision Map and Improvement <br />Plans for Tract No. 2829, Vineyard Terrace Unit No. 3, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Authorization to Sell Surplus 5 -Ton Tractor Truck <br />Mr. Fales advised the Council that this tractor, which was used in conjunction <br />with the 2,000 gallon tanker at the sewage treatment plant, has been replaced and <br />is now obsolete. Mr. Fales requested authorization to seek bids for the sale of <br />this truck. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman° Harding that <br />the staff be authorized to seek bids for the sale of the 5 -Ton Tractor Truck. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. <br />
