Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Councilmember Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Brown commented on the matter addressed by Carmen Rivera-Hendrickson relative to <br /> ADA compliance and stated she would like to see City Council consider what improvements are <br /> needed to help the City's disabled residents. <br /> Mayor Thorne agreed noting he asked that staff to bring the matter to Council for consideration. <br /> Staff reported working with Ms. Rivera-Hendrickson to help her with her specific issue. <br /> Council agreed to direct staff to return with a status report relative to the City's ADA compliance. <br /> Nelson Fialho, City Manager, suggested circulating a report, offline, to Council and if there is interest in <br /> agendizing the matter, staff will do so. <br /> Councilmember Brown stated she would like to see it be a public discussion. <br /> Most Councilmembers supported having a public hearing on this matter. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Narum commented on a recent tour of Lawrence Livermore Lab noting they are <br /> working on the technology for desalination. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m. The Council extended a <br /> tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
