CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-103 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE TRAILS AD HOC COMMITTEE <br />AND MAKING APPOINTMENTS THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 16, 2002, the City Council approved an update to the Community Trails <br /> Master Plan; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an element of that approval was the establishment of a Trails Ad Hoc Committee <br /> to assist the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council does hereby establish the Trails Ad Hoc Committee, which shall <br />have the following duties and responsibilities: <br /> <br />Assist the Parks and Recreation Commission in researching, reviewing, and <br />prioritizing potential trail projects. <br /> <br />b. Offer recommendations for trail improvements <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Advise the Parks and Recreation Commission on activities by other entities <br />(e.g., EBRPD, City of Dublin, City of Livermore, Zone 7 Water Agency, <br />DSRSD, trail advocacy groups) that may impact Pleasanton's trail system. <br /> <br />Recommend access and connectivity points from trails within the <br />community, such as parks, major arterials, transit points, shopping areas, <br />essential services, etc. <br /> <br />Coordinate trail education efforts with the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission and staff. <br /> <br />Advise the Parks and Recreation Commission regarding accessibility and <br />potential use of trails by a variety of users (e.g., pedestrians, bicyclists, <br />physically challenged, equestrians, etc.) <br /> <br /> <br />
