Funding <br /> The Master Plan's near term network that is shown in Figure 1 includes all 16 corridors <br /> that are recommended to be completed in the next five years. The total cost for these <br /> improvements far exceeds the current available funding. Additional grants and other <br /> sources of funding will be needed to complete the near term network in the near term. <br /> The Master Plan outlines the need to complete corridors, but the funding <br /> approach/methodology included in the Update also allows for projects not on the highest <br /> ranking corridor to be eligible for funding by incorporating a funding policy that allocates <br /> 20% of funds available to be used on high priority spot location improvements.
