RESOLUTION NO. 17-936 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF CLAIMS WITH THE METROPOLITAN <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR ALLOCATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS, AND WITH THE ALAMEDA <br /> COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (ALAMEDA CTC) FOR MEASURE B <br /> AND BB FUNDS FOR FISCALYEAR 2017/18 <br /> WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended (Public Utilities <br /> Code Section 99200, et. seq.) provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local <br /> Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of <br /> community transit services to local residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the <br /> applicable rules and regulations hereunder (21 California Administrative Code, Section 6600, et. <br /> seq.), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation <br /> Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC); and <br /> WHEREAS, Alameda County Measure B and BB provides for the distribution of funds <br /> from local dedicated sales tax to provide special transportation for seniors and persons with <br /> disabilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Measure B and BB, a prospective claimant <br /> wishing to receive an allocation from Alameda County shall file its claim with the Alameda <br /> County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC); and <br /> WHEREAS, the claims propose to continue a current program utilizing existing <br /> equipment, manpower, and routes, and proposes minor additional services and is, therefore, <br /> considered exempt from the requirements of the California Environment Quality Act (CEQA); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County and <br /> Measure B and BB funds will be required by the Pleasanton Paratransit Service in Fiscal Year <br /> 2017/18 for community transit services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: It authorizes the City Manager or designee, to execute and file <br /> appropriate claims pursuant to the terms of the Transportation Development Act and Alameda <br /> County Measure B and BB, as amended, and pursuant to applicable rules and regulations <br /> promulgated thereunder, together with all necessary supporting documents, with the MTC, <br /> Alameda CTC and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for an allocation of TDA and <br /> Measure B and BB funds for Fiscal Year 2017/18. <br /> SECTION 2: A copy of this Resolution will be transmitted to the MTC, Alameda CTC, <br /> and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in conjunction with the filing of claims, and the <br /> MTC and Alameda CTC will be requested to grant the allocations of funds as specified herein. <br />
