The source of funding for the GHAD is an annual assessment from each
property within the District.
There are four GHADs within the City of Pleasanton: Oak Tree Farm, Moller Ranch,
Laurel Creek Estates and Lemoine Ranch Estates. All GHADs are located west of
Foothill Road.
This report proposes assessments to be levied on properties within each of the four
GHADs for the upcoming tax year 2017/2018. It is recommended that all GHADs, with
the exception of Laurel Creek Estates, have their annual assessment increased by the
allowed two percent for tax year 2017/2018. It is recommended that Laurel Creek
Estates annual assessment remain the same as last year.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Convene as the Board of Directors for the Oak Tree Farm, Moller Ranch, Laurel
Creek Estates and Lemoine Ranch Estates Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts.
2. Adopt a resolution approving the Engineer's Reports for each GHAD and approving
and declaring the Board's intention to assess the properties within the GHADs for
the costs to operate and maintain the GHADs.
3. Set June 20, 2017, as the date of the public hearings for the Board to hear protests
concerning the proposed assessments.
4.
