THE CITY OF 19(b)
° CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLEASANTON.
May 2, 2017
City Manager
TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (FY 2017-18) FOR THE USE OF
FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS
SUMMARY
Pleasanton will receive approximately $270,000 in federal CDBG funds for federal Fiscal
Year 2017 (2017-18). At the May 2 meeting, staff is also recommending that the Council
take action regarding the allocation of federal CDBG funds for FY 2017 as part of the
allocation of Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) funding to local non-profit
agencies. This report summarizes the Annual Action Plan that must be submitted to HUD
in order for the City to receive its FY 2017 allocation of CDBG funds. The report makes a
recommendation to approve this document.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Annual Action Plan for federal Fiscal Year 2017 and direct staff to submit to
HUD by the applicable deadline.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The approval of the annual Action Plan will not have a direct fiscal impact on the City. As
noted earlier, the City will receive an estimated $270,000 in CDBG funds for FY 2017
(2017-18). The final allocation from HUD is expected within the next several months and
will be incorporated into the Action Plan.
