PROPOSAL FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />1.1 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />DOLORES BENGSTON AQUATIC CENTER <br />PLEASANTON, CA <br />1141101)4K, AQUATICS, Li of Vista, California - hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANT," proposes <br />to provide architectural design services to CITY OF PLEASANTON, CA, hereinafter referred to as <br />"CLIENT" for the following project: <br />Work generally consists of the remodel of the existing bathhouse and the chain link fence <br />enclosure and exiting around a 50 meter pool. The certain parts of the bathhouse will require <br />renovation - including ADA access, toilet partitions, lockers, showers, wall tile and removal and <br />repositioning all plumbing fixtures and mirror replacement. <br />2.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br />2.1 CONSULTANT shall provide architecture design and engineering services as hereinafter described <br />for the following design program elements: <br />1. Add accessibility signage at the entries from Black Avenue into the parking lot. <br />2. ADA accessible sign at front of bathhouse - indicating facility is fully accessible. <br />3. Interior room signage with braille and additional signs on walls adjacent to <br />restrooms indicating accessibility. (now on doors only). <br />4. Replace fence material around 50m pool with chain link of smaller selvage. <br />5. Replace fence posts so that both posts and chain link are black (PVC coated). <br />6. Replace gates on egress paths self - latching and self - closing as required by Code. <br />The same gates will require panic hardware and ADA accessible qualities and be <br />undefeatable from the outside so that access to the pool cannot be gained after <br />hours. These gates cannot be greater than 4' -0" wide if they are exit gates and <br />will require proper signage. <br />7. 24 inch deep benches in locker room - attach to lockers <br />8. Replace existing lockers and toilet partitions with HDPE of same type and color. <br />9. 5% of lockers to be accessible one of each type - suggest all lockers be raised on <br />platform and be same size. Consider changing corrals for privacy. <br />10. New storm drain in deck - slot drain at complex entry <br />11. Exit lights on gates and signs to keep gates closed, also new hardware. <br />12. Handrails in semi - ambulatory stalls. <br />13. Remove gypsum board from inside bathhouse walls, also remove plumbing <br />fixtures as part of work. Plumbing fixtures will be replaced after walls are <br />reconstructed <br />14. Provide concrete board wall substrate after modifying plumbing & placing <br />electrical <br />15. Provide waterproofing to surface of walls to receive tile and floor <br />16. Replace Concrete floors, slope floors positively to drains in bathhouse <br />17. Place tile on walls - 8' -0" wainscot with design. <br />18. Provide skylights along with LED lights that are controlled by photocell. <br />19. Provide shower layout that will afford ADA access and omit trench drain <br />20. Replace bathroom mirrors <br />21. Repair door frame and entry to men's and women's restrooms <br />22. Provide rinse showers on deck - two pedestal style fixtures. <br />23. Use Acorn penal fixtures for metering valves and shower heads to prevent Toss <br />Alai o Pic AQUATICS <br />Page 1 of 8 <br />
