EXHIBIT A <br />Proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit PMC Amendments <br />3.26.020 Terms and definitions. <br />For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated in this <br />section: <br />H. "Land use category" means any of the following specified land uses: <br />1. Residential: <br />a. Single- family detached; <br />b. Single- family attached (no more than two units); <br />c. Multi- family (three or more units); <br />d. Accessory dwelling or junior dwelling unit. <br />2. Office. <br />15.08.470 Auxiliary (accessory dwelling) unit. <br />"Auxiliary (accessory dwelling) unit" means any dwelling unit added to a lot of a single - family <br />dwelling unit as defined in Government Code Section 65852.2, as may be amended or as <br />provided in city of Pleasanton local ordinances. Also referred to as "in -law unit," "au pair unit," <br />"granny unit," "auxiliary dwelling unit," "guest unit," or "second unit." (Ord. 1895 § 1, 2003; Ord. <br />1203 § 3, 1983; prior code § 2- 15.01.44.5) <br />17.36.040 Exemptions. <br />This chapter shall not be applicable to the following categories of residential units: <br />A. Accessory dwelling or junior accessory dwelling units approved in accordance with city <br />zoning regulations. <br />17.46.040 Formula for dedication of land. <br />B. The formula for determining acreage to be dedicated is as follows: <br />Dwelling Type <br />Assumed Density <br />Standard: Acres /DUs <br />Single- family <br />2.87 persons /DU <br />0.01435 acres /DU <br />Multi- family <br />2.30 persons /DU <br />0.01150 acres /DU <br />1. For purposes of this subsection, the following definitions shall apply: <br />a. "Single- family dwelling unit" shall mean: <br />
