Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> Engineering <br /> 7. Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids, awarded and authorized the Manager to <br /> execute a construction contract with Empire Engineering & Construction, Inc. in the amount of <br /> $711,092.50 for the Annual Curb and Gutter Replacement project, CIP No. 16509; authorized the <br /> Director of Engineering to approve and execute change order not to exceed $71,109, the transfer <br /> of $71,155 from the Annual Sidewalk and Intersection Ramp Installation project, CIP No. 16505, <br /> the transfer of $125,000 from the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance project, CIP No. 16512; and <br /> appropriate Gas Tax funds of$352,992 to complete funding for the project <br /> 8. Presentation of a proclamation declaring March 2017 American Red Cross Month <br /> • <br /> On behalf of the Pleasanton City Council, Councilmember Olson presented a proclamation to <br /> Varsha Clare with the Alameda County Board Council and a representative from American Red <br /> Cross declaring March 2017 American Red Cross Month. <br /> Ms. Clare addressed the services provided by the organization and thanked the City for the <br /> proclamation. <br /> 11. Public Comment <br /> Larry Kriegbaum referenced a letter submitted to City Council regarding the flood risk along Zone <br /> 7 Engineered Canals.
