ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> THE CITY OF _ <br /> 11." `.- ii CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> July 19, 2016 <br /> Economic Development <br /> Community Development <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT AN UPDATE OF THE DOWNTOWN PARKING STRATEGY <br /> AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff has been working with Fehr & Peers to draft a Downtown Parking Strategy and <br /> Implementation Plan (Parking Plan) to identify strategies to more effectively manage and <br /> increase the parking supply in Downtown Pleasanton. The purpose of this report is to <br /> provide City Council with the draft Parking Plan in advance of public outreach efforts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Accept the draft update and provide staff with any additional direction related to <br /> Downtown parking. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact associated with this update. Staff notes that short- and long- <br /> term efforts to better manage Downtown parking and expand the parking supply may <br /> have positive fiscal effects by increasing Downtown visitation and business activity. <br />
