2017/2018 Expenditure Plan <br /> Altamont Settlement Agreement <br /> Education Advisory Board December 19,2016 <br /> Plan Summary Objectives <br /> The Altamont Landfill Settlement Agreement created the Grants and projects: <br /> Altamont Education Advisory Board to propose allocation of ❑ Mini-grants—The mini-grant program awards between <br /> funds in the Education Account for diversion education $500-$3,000 to all eligible projects that meet award criteria <br /> programs,job training in the field of waste diversion and up to the funding allocation amount. In 2014-15,mini- <br /> recycling and mitigating the impacts of the landfill operations grants supported environmental science programs and <br /> on the affected neighboring community. Funds generated from school recycling and composting infrastructure projects. <br /> the$0.34 per ton surcharge originating from the Altamont ❑ Project grants—The annual grant program would award <br /> Landfill are expected to amount to approximately$500,000 competitive grants up to$50,000 for projects that would <br /> annually.
