Annette Brecheisen
From: Pleasanton City Clerk
Subject: Please keep EPSP on hold SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL'
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: Date t(-
Sent: Monday, March 13, 2017 3:41 PM
To: Mayor and City Council<citycouncil @cityofpleasantonca.sov>
Subject Please keep EPSP on hold
Dear Council Members,
We are residents of The Village at Ironwood and would like for you to consider keeping the EPSP on
hold indefinitely. It is our belief that Pleasanton has added more new homes and apartments in the
last few years which have only added to further congestion of our streets and neighborhoods. The
infrastructure is not keeping up with the 2,000 or more new or planned residences. And, now we are
faced with additional homes and businesses along Stanley Blvd. Even though the EPSP speaks of
completing El Charo Road as an extension, that would not be done for many years, and we would
have to deal with more trucks, cars, and people in the meantime.
You paused the EPSP due to the drought, but we would like to see you continue to shelve this
project. We live in a neighborhood of 110 homes where 8 homes have sold and the homeowners
have moved out of Pleasanton in the last couple of years. When speaking with the sellers, one of
their top reasons for moving has been the increased traffic and growth in Pleasanton.
Please don't make our "small town" become like Dublin.
Respectfully,
Doug & Julie Jennings
1
