Annette Brecheisen
From: Pleasanton City Clerk
Subject: Email Sl DPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: CINDY /
Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2017 3:49 PM ?j-1 5—/
To: Brown, Karla Date
Subject: Re: Email
This is what I sent to the email the website, please share with the rest of the council.
Dear Mayor and City Council, please do not add the Eastside planning area to the council's priorities
list tonight. The following reasons are some of my concerns:
The City has many housing units that have been approved and not yet built.
Many of the multifamily units being built have not been fully occupied. (Pleasanton is known for
having more school age children in this type of housing than other communities.)
Traffic issues are all ready impacting our quality of life. Hopefully some of the issues will be resolved
before more building occurs.
Our schools are already overcapacity with multiple portables on our campuses.
The General Plan has stated targets for enrollment which are not being followed.
The school district will not have a new superintendent until July.
Then it is time for the City and School District to work together to address our current student housing
needs.
Thank you for your consideration, Cindy McGovern
1
