Karen Gonzales
From:
Subject:
Pleasanton City Clerk
FW: East Pleasanton development
From: Janis Kvaternik []
Sent: Sunday, March 12, 2017 1:22 PM
To: Mayor and City Council < citycouncil @citvofpleasantonca.Qov>
Subject: East Pleasanton development
Dear City Council members,
SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
Date ■3 -n
As a Pleasanton citizen and voter for 19 years, I would like to add my voice to others in asking that the
proposed East Pleasanton development of 898 homes be stopped for now.
I attended several of the meetings on the previous iteration of the East Pleasanton development. Although the
drought has abated, the remaining questions of traffic and infrastructure development of school and roads have
not been addressed by the proposed development.
The community is now absorbing a huge number of apartments on Stanley Boulevard, with the vehicular traffic
increasing by some unknown amount. If the proposed development adds thousands of car trips per day down
Stanley, possibly adding the El Charro Dublin traffic as well, the streets of Pleasanton will be absolutely
intolerable to drive. There is a tipping point when the community cannot absorb more high density
development and becomes a less desirable place to live in terms of lack of school infrastructure and
overcrowded city streets.
As our elected representatives, please do your part to keep Pleasanton a wonderful place to live, drive, and
educate our children by saying no to new development in the East Pleasanton corridor at this time.
Respectfully,
Janis R.
