<br /> The Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System,
<br /> hereinafter referred to as Board, and the governing body of the above public agency,
<br /> hereinafter referred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract effective
<br /> September 1, 1953, and witnessed May 18, 1953, and as amended effective April 1,
<br /> 1962, October 21, 1972, September 28, 1973, January 5, 1980, January 3, 1981, April
<br /> 11, 1981, September 20, 1986, February 18, 1987, June 13, 1987, September 5, 1987,
<br /> February 26, 1993, May 7, 1993, December 8, 1995, April 1, 1996, May 3, 1996,
<br /> October 31, 1998, April 17, 1999, February 9, 2001, September 29, 2001, December 7,
<br /> 2002, May 17, 2008, July 7, 2012, December 22, 2012, July 4, 2015, November 7,
<br /> 2015 and July 1, 2016 which provides for participation of Public Agency in said System,
<br /> Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows:
<br /> A. Paragraphs 1 through 18 are hereby stricken from said contract as executed
<br /> effective July 1, 2016, and hereby replaced by the following paragraphs
<br /> numbered 1 through 18 inclusive:
<br /> 1. All words and terms used herein which are defined in the Public
<br /> Employees' Retirement Law shall have the meaning as defined therein
<br /> unless otherwise specifically provided. "Normal retirement age" shall
<br /> mean age 55 for classic local miscellaneous members, age 62 for new
<br /> local miscellaneous members, age 50 for classic local police members
<br /> entering membership in the police classification on or prior to July 7, 2012
<br /> and for those classic local fire members entering membership in the fire
<br /> classification on or prior to December 22, 2012, age 55 for classic local
<br /> police members entering membership for the first time in the police
<br /> classification after July 7, 2012 and for those classic local fire members
<br /> entering membership for the first time in the fire classification after
<br /> December 22, 2012 and age 57 for new local safety members.
