This note
is probably a waste of time but here goes anyway. I no longer want to live in Pleasanton amid the expansive high
density growth. In my neighborhood, people park in the red zones all the time as there is simply no room to park which
diminishes the safety of all. We can't continue to build high density projects and turn a blind eye to the significant
effects of that growth. This growth will simply add to the existing traffic problems with no end in sight. I also can't
believe that the city bowed to the developer and closed two lanes on Owens drive to accommodate the
developer. What happened to planning??? Is everyone just focusing on greed and profit?
I understand that growth is inevitable but the high density growth that is planned does nothing to improve traffic
conditions and will only make traffic much worse and add to an already overcrowded city.
Very disappointed in the city leaders. I will remember this at the polls next election.
Jeri Bennett
1
