This project is too large for the acreage given Three story homes with narrow
streets should be reserved for large inner cities, NOT for Pleasanton. Also, the developer will donate
a small parcel at the BACK of the site for the developmentally challenged adults, who will have to
navigate a large residential complex just to reach Stanley Blvd. Sunflower Hill will have to raise the
money, and if not, then more large homes for the benefit of the developer.
The planning commission and council in recent years have approved many large scale
developments. We have yet to see the impacts on traffic, schools, and water usage of some of
them, particularly the large apartment complex on Stanley and Bernal. That corridor is a commute
and cut through route already. If you add the vehicles from the large apartment complex, the homes
being built on the Busch Rd and Valley, and then Irby Ranch, it will be gridlock in the downtown
1
