Sincerely yours, Ellen Holmgren,Administrative Assistant,City of Pleasanton From:Stacey Ristow Sent:Tuesday, February 07, 2017 5:10 PM To: Mayor and City Council<citvcouncil@citvofpleasantonca.gov> Subject: Irby Ranch Property Dear Pleasanton City Council, I am in opposition to the development of the the 87 high density 2 -3 story homes proposed for the Irby Ranch Property on Stanley Blvd. I reside on Kottinger Drive and am appalled by the constant commuter and neighborhood traffic that crowds all of our downtown streets, especially those surrounding First Street. The addiitio* of 87 more homes on top of the soon to open Vintage Village Apartment/Retail Complex is going to increase the congestion. I am a teacher at Amador Valley High School and commute the 3/4 mile to work each day. The days I walk, I have to be extremely mindful of traffic, so as not to be mowed down by a driver not paying attention and the days I drive, I get stuck in the back up of morning commuters headed to the Ace Train or 680. Currently being built directly behind my house is the Kottinger Gardens Senior Housing Complex. Our modest, quiet neighborhood has had to deal with construction for months, with more construction due when they begin building the apartments on the other side of the street. We have lived here for 20+years with the seniors, there have been both positive and negative experiences with living near a large complex. It is to my dismay that the complex is being rebuilt to house close to triple the amount of people. This will have an impact on our neighborhood. More residents equals more pedestrians and more traffic, not only on Kottinger Drive, but on First Street, Second Street and all of the surrounding downtown streets. i
