ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 08-234 TO EXTEND THE TER I OF THE COMMITTEE ON ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT UNTIL JUNE 30, 2019 WHEREAS, in July, 2008 the City Council established the Committee on Energy and the Environment for an initial term of two years to advise it on energy and environmental issues, strategies, planning and protections and opportunities for conservation, and WHEREAS,the duties of the Committee include supporting the intent of the City's General Plan environmental goals, developing measurable energy strategies related to preservation, prudent use of natural resources, and other energy and water related matters, and WHEREAS, the Committee has projects under way as part of the Climate Action Plan development and implementation that will run through the next 12 month period, and WHEREAS, the Committee's term is ending and an additional 26 months extension is required to address activities now in progress, and WHEREAS, prior to this date, the City Council may reassess the Committee's agenda and consider limiting or extending the term as appropriate NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1 Extend the term of the Committee on Energy and the Environment for an additional two and half years until June 30, 2019 SECTION 2. That the Committee on Energy and the Environment hold its regular meetings every other month during this term PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on February 7, 2017 I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of February 2017, by the following vote Ayes Noes Absent Abstain Karen Diaz, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM Daniel G Sodergren, City Attorney
