EBMUD has indicated a willingness to share its available capacity m the expanded treatment plant with Pleasanton until EBMUD needs it EBMUD has historically shared its capacity with DSRSD as its DERWA partner, and as long as Pleasanton's involvement with DERWA continues to move toward a higher level of partnership,EBMUD would make capacity available This shared filter capacity is expected to provide sufficient capacity for Pleasanton's recycled water demands to 2020 or later. To confirm Pleasanton's participation in this expansion, Pleasanton must sign the attached notice to proceed and pay a proportional share of planning, design, and construction costs. As per Section 5.3 (c)of the Agreement,Pleasanton shall make payment to DERWA in three installments, one third at the time Pleasanton provides notice to DERWA to proceed,one third at the time of award of the construction contract, and one third at the time of 50%completion of construction At the time of this letter,the total cost of the Phase 2 Project is estimated at $18,200,000.
