In addition, the City and PUSD have an agreement for shared use of the two
lighted tennis courts at Pleasanton Middle School. However, since the public's access to these courts is limited due to
school hours, they are counted at 50%.Thus, with the 19 tennis courts currently available for community use, and a
demonstrated need for 28 courts, there is a current deficiency of 9 tennis courts(71,000 pop) or a total deficiency of 15
tennis courts at buildout(78,000 pop).To address the current and future demand for public tennis courts, the Parks and
Recreation Master Plan recommended that the City follow the 1985 and 1995 Tennis and Community Park Master Plan
and construct the two (2)final tennis courts as planned.
Link to 2014 Parks and Recreation I.'aster Plan:
http://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BIobID=24609
1
