ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, TO <br /> ADOPT A DISCOUNTED RATE FOR COMMERCIAL ORGANIC AND MIXED <br /> RECYCLING IN THE AMOUNT OF 25% PER CUBIC YARD RATE FOR METAL BIN <br /> CONTAINERS AND 25% FOR 96 GALLON CART FOR ORGANICS COLLECTION <br /> WHEREAS, on February 16, 2016 the City Council voted to opt into Phase 2 of the <br /> Alameda County Waste Management Authority's Mandatory Recycling Ordinance (MRO) <br /> requiring implementation of services to collect organics from commercial and multi-family <br /> building properties <br /> WHEREAS, a rate for service to collection of organics is required by the MRO <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: A discounted rate of 25% for commercial organic and mixed recycling per <br /> cubic yard rate for metal bin containers and 96 gallon cart for organics collection <br /> SECTION 2: Discounted rates will go into effect on December 26, 2016 and reflected in <br /> the first billing to commercial accounts on January 25, 2017 <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on December 6, 2016 <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the , by the following <br /> vote <br /> Ayes <br /> Noes <br /> Absent <br /> Abstain <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM <br /> Daniel G Sodergren, City Attorney <br />
