ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> RESOLUTION NOS. 15-795 AND 15-796 AND THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE <br /> SUSPENDING AUTOMATIC CPI INCREASES FOR 2017 TO WATER AND SEWER <br /> RATES AND CHARGES <br /> WHEREAS, on October 6, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution Nos 15-795 and <br /> 15-796 amending the Master Fee Schedule (Resolution No 92-100) to revise water and sewer <br /> rates and charges, respectively, and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution Nos 15-795 and 15-796 each contain an automatic increase to <br /> water and sewer rates and charges, respectively, based on the Consumer Price Index (all urban <br /> consumers for the San Francisco-Oakland- San Jose area) applied every January 1, starting <br /> January 1, 2016 for water, and every July 1, starting July 1, 2016 for sewer, and continuing for a <br /> maximum of five years ("Cost of Living Adjustment"), and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolutions Nos 15-795 and 15-796 and <br /> the Master Fee Schedule (Res 92-100) to not apply a Cost of Living Adjustment to water rates <br /> and charges from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017, nor to sewer rates and charges from <br /> July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 <br /> i NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1 Resolutions Nos 15-795 and 15-796 and the Master Fee Schedule (Res <br /> 92-100) are amended to reflect that a Cost of Living Adjustment will not be applied to water rates <br /> and charges from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017, nor to sewer rates and charges from <br /> July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 <br /> SECTION 2 City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the <br /> book of original resolutions <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on December 6, 2016 <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of December <br /> 2016, by the following vote <br /> Ayes <br /> Noes <br /> Absent <br /> Abstain <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> I <br />
