BACKGROUND <br /> The City Council, as part of the City Council Work Plan Priorities, identified <br /> Comprehensive Disaster Response Planning as a goal under Public Safety While <br /> researching options to address this goal staff discovered the City of Livermore was also <br /> seeking an update to their City's Comprehensive Disaster Response Plan (CEMP) It <br /> was also recognized that the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department was in a unique <br /> position to provide project management expertise and coordination A task force <br /> comprising of LPFD personnel and staff from both Cities was formed with the goal of <br /> identifying and ultimately contracting with a suitable provider After an exhaustive RFP <br /> process and interviews with the top respondents, staff from both Cities identified Tetra <br /> Tech Inc as the best provider The agreement is now presented to Council and staff is <br /> recommending Council approval <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> To address the Council identified Work Plan Priority goal of updating the City's <br /> Comprehensive Disaster Response Plan, staff partnered with both the City of Livermore <br /> and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department to identify the best possible provider <br /> and deliver the final updated plan in the most cost effective manner Staff recommends <br /> the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement, in partnership with the <br /> City of Livermore, with Tetra Tech Inc to provide the professional services to update the <br /> Comprehensive Disaster Response Plan (CEMP) and Local Hazard Mitigation Plan <br /> (LHMP) for each City <br /> Submitted .y Fiscal Review Approved by <br /> Ruben orres Tina Olson Nelson Fialho <br /> Fire Chief Director of Finance City Manager <br /> Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br /> Department <br /> Attachments <br /> 1 Professional Services Agreement between the City of Pleasanton, City of <br /> Livermore and Tetra Tech Inc <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
