Councilmember Pentin liked the name Bernal Bark Park <br /> Councilmember Narum liked Central Bark Park <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Pentin/Narum to approve the name of the dog park on the Bernal property, <br /> "Cubby's Bark Park" <br /> Councilmember Brown addressed other options and Councilmember Olson suggested removing the <br /> word "Bark" <br /> Councilmember Pentin withdrew his original motion <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Olson/Thorne to approve the name of the dog park on the Bernal property, <br /> "Cubby's Dog Park" <br /> Councilmember Narum suggested adding "at Bernal" to the name <br /> Staff noted that area of the property is the Bernal property but it is not considered Bernal Park <br /> Councilmember Pentin disagreed with Councilmember Narum's suggestion noting that people will know <br /> where it is <br /> SUBSTITUTE MOTION: It was m/s by Olson/Narum to approve the name of the dog park on the <br /> Bernal property as "Cubby's Dog Park at Bernal" Motion passed by the following vote <br /> Ayes Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes None <br /> Absent None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL— None <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS — None <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8 28 p m The Council extended a <br /> tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military We wish to honor the memories of those <br /> who have died in past wars in defense of our country, including those who have died in the current <br /> conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Karen Diaz <br /> City Clerk <br /> City Council Minutes Page 6 of 6 October 4, 2016 <br />
