ATTACHMENT 1 <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />For <br />MONITORING GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICTS (GHADs) <br />FOR LAUREL CREEK ESTATES, LEMOINE RANCH ESTATES, <br />MOLLER RANCH AND OAK TREE FARM <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this 4th day of October, 2016, between the CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation ( "City "), and ENGEO, Inc. whose address is <br />2010 Crow Canyon Road, Suite 250, San Ramon, CA 94583, and telephone number is 925 -866- <br />9000, ( "Consultant "). <br />RECITALS <br />A. Consultant is qualified and experienced in providing geotechnical engineering <br />services for the purposes specified in this Agreement. <br />B. City finds it necessary and advisable to use the services of Consultant for the <br />purposes provided in this Agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions in this <br />Agreement, City and Consultant agree as follows: <br />1. Consultant's Services. Consultant shall diligently perform the services and <br />furnish the materials, reports, drawings, and related materials described in Exhibit <br />A, attached and incorporated to the extent consistent with this Agreement. <br />a. Consultant shall perform all work described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />b. Consultant shall meet with City staff, other pertinent agencies, and/or <br />landowners as necessary to complete the scope of work outlined in Exhibit A. <br />2. City Assistance. In order to assist Consultant in this work, City shall provide, if <br />necessary, any geotechnical reports, grading plans and/or improvement plans. <br />3. Staff. Consultant shall assign Patrick S. Lam to serve as Project Manager, who <br />may not be replaced without written consent of City. <br />4. Term. Consultant shall continue to provide site reconnaissance twice a year to <br />meet the monitoring requirements of the GHADs. Site visits and subsequent summary reports <br />shall be completed by September 30 and May 30 of each year, or within 48 hours of a significant <br />rain event (2 inches of rain within a 24 -hour period). The work as described in Exhibit A. This <br />agreement shall terminate no later than December 2020. <br />04/05 Page 1 of 6 <br />
