Pleasanton will continue to implement and encourage compliances to these regulations
through community messaging and mandatory conservation measures to prevent water
waste including the following:
• Limit outdoor watering to no more than 3 nonconsecutive days per week, April 1-
September 30.
• Turn off irrigation controllers when rain is expected and keep them off for 48 hours
after measurable rainfall.
• Potable water shall not be used for hose or power washing of driveways, sidewalk,
and other hardscapes.
• Only water landscaping after 6:00 p.m. and before 9 a.m. to reduce water loss from
wind and evaporation.
• Wash cars, trucks, etc. only with a hose equipped with a shut-off nozzle.
• Check for and fix all leaks in and around your home and business.
Based on our water supply analysis, a local drought emergency is no longer an
appropriate desi nation for current conditions. Therefore, it is recommended that a
9 ,
resolution be adopted to reaffirm Stage 1 water conservation measures and terminate the
Government Code §8630 local drought emergency (Attachment 3).
Submitted by: Reviewed by: App .roved by:
idettdi Kathleen Yurchak Dan Sodergren Nelson Fialho
Director of Operations City Attorney City Manager
and Water Utilities
Attachments:
1.
