I'm united with hundreds of my neighbors in the Del Prado neighborhood
who are opposed to seeing the open green space in the center of the park disappear with the planned
construction of two new lighted tennis courts.
Like many of my neighbors, I was surprised and disappointed that the city did not seek broader community
input in this construction project. Thankfully, you have responded and are allowing us to voice our opinions on
this important issue.
We already have 10 tennis courts. Two more courts only serve eight more people at any one time. But, the
park and its open space serves hundreds of neighborhood residents at all times of the day and even more
during weekends. This space has become our town square and one of the greatest resources in our
neighborhood.
t
