RESOLUTION NO. 16-874 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL <br /> MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 7, 2016 DECLARING THE RESULT AND <br /> SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW <br /> WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of <br /> Pleasanton, California, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, as required by law; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in the time, form and manner as provided <br /> by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and <br /> that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and <br /> canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the <br /> provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general <br /> law cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of the <br /> election and has certified the results. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the total number of ballots cast in said election was 22,217 which <br /> represent 52.71% of Pleasanton's eligible voters. <br /> SECTION 2. That the measure voted upon at the election is as follows: <br /> Measure K: Shall the Lund Ranch project in Southeast Pleasanton, which consists of 43 <br /> single-family homes on approximately 17 areas and 174 acres of permanent public open space <br /> and 2 miles of public trail, be approved? <br /> SECTION 3. That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes <br /> given in the City to for and against the measure are listed in "Exhibit "A" attached. <br /> SECTION 4. That as a result of the election, a majority of the voter's casting votes for <br /> Measure K relating to the Lund Ranch Rezoning and Planned Unit Development did vote in <br /> favor of it, and that the measure carried and shall be adopted and ratified. <br /> SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall enter in the records of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton, a statement of the result of the election, showing: 1) the whole number of votes <br /> cast in the City; 2) the measure voted upon; 3) the number of votes given at each precinct for <br /> and against the measure; and 4) the total number of votes given for and against the measure. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on the 19th day of July 2016 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br />
