THE CITY OF <br />pLEASANTON. <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />12 <br />July 19, 2016 <br />Police <br />TITLE: APPROVE FY2015/16 RECURRING PURCHASE ORDER FOR NIKOUI & <br />ASSOCIATES — FORENSIC IDENTIFICATION SERVICES & CONSULTING <br />INC. <br />SUMMARY <br />The City's Purchasing Manual establishes the types and values of goods and services <br />requiring City Council approval. In June of 2015 the Police Department created a <br />Recurring Purchase Order for Kourosh Nikoui for forensic identification services not to <br />exceed $30,000 which does not require Council approval. Throughout the year the <br />Police Department has had an increased need for these services but did not expect to <br />exceed $50,000 which would require Council approval. On June 24, 2016 the Police <br />Department received 3 invoices for services totaling $25,465 thus bringing our total <br />amount over $50,000 for FY2015/16. <br />Staff is recommending Council authorize a Recurring Purchase Order Agreement <br />(RPOA) for Nikoui & Associates — Forensic Identification Services and Consulting Inc. <br />with an estimated value of $70,000 for 2015/16FY. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the issuance of RPOA to Nikoui & Associates — Forensic Identification <br />Services and Consulting Inc. for FY2015/16. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This is budgeted in the amount of $30,000 as Professional Services, however there is <br />enough funding in the police operating budget to cover the additional amount. <br />
