THE CITY OF 11 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> May 17, 2016 <br /> Human Resources <br /> TITLE: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF PROPOSED MEMORANDUM OF <br /> UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION/AFSCME LOCAL <br /> 955 WITH A TERM ENDING MARCH 31, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> Pleasanton City Employees' Association/AFSCME Local 955 (PCEA) expired on March <br /> 31, 2016. Representatives from the PCEA and the City of Pleasanton met and <br /> conferred in good faith to develop a successor agreement. The City's practice is to <br /> introduce the key elements of the proposed MOU, receive input from the public and <br /> allow for open discussion. This public input process was conducted at the May 3, 2016 <br /> meeting.
