Medical Contributions for Active Employees: <br /> Currently active employees receive Agency-paid contributions towards medical <br /> premiums up to the lowest cost HMO family plan. Although employees are <br /> required to pay co-pays and/or deductibles, they do not contribute towards the <br /> premiums if the selected plans' premiums are less than the lowest cost HMO <br /> family plan. The proposed contract requires employees who currently make no <br /> contributions toward their medical premiums to pay $25 per month effective July <br /> 1, 2016. <br /> Dental Coverage: The lifetime maximum for orthodontia will be increased from <br /> $2,000 to $2,500. <br /> Other Changes: Agreements were also reached in the areas outlined below. <br /> Floating Holidays — Under the recently expired MOU, PCEA members were <br /> credited with thirty-two (32) hours of floating holiday in January of each calendar <br /> year. PCEA members will receive an additional eight (8) hours of floating holiday <br /> for a total of forty (40) hours effective July 2016. <br /> Certification Pay — Effective July 2017 employees in the Utilities Systems <br /> Operator classifications will receive 2.5% pay for obtaining and possessing a <br /> Grade 2 Water Distribution License and an additional 2.5% for obtaining and <br /> maintaining a State of California Grade 3 Water Distribution License or above. <br /> Training Pay — The classification of Police Records Clerk will receive a 5% <br /> training pay differential when assigned to training duties. <br /> Salary Adjustments — Effective July 2017 the pay scales associated with the <br /> classifications of Senior Customer Service Representative and Police Dispatcher <br /> Supervisor will be increased by 5% and 8.3% respectively. Effective July 2018 <br /> the pay scales associated with the classifications of Utilities Systems Operator I, <br /> Utilities Systems Operator II, Lead Utilities Systems Operator and Chief Utilities <br /> Systems Operator will be increased by 5%. <br /> Uniform Allowance — The annual uniform allowance for Senior Animal Services <br /> Officer, Animal Services Officer and Community Services Officer will be <br /> increased by $100 in April 2016 and an additional $50 in April 2017. <br /> Operational Changes — A number of practical items were agreed upon in a <br /> number of areas including Union membership, grievance procedures, standby <br /> requirements and other similar categories. <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
