Section 10. Training Pay: Police Dispatcher/Community Service Officer/Police Records <br /> Clerk <br /> Police Dispatchers assigned to train new Police Dispatchers as part of a formal <br /> departmental training program shall be paid an additional five percent(5%) of their <br /> regular hourly rate of pay for each hour of assigned training. <br /> Community Service Officers assigned responsibility to train new Community Service <br /> Officers as part of a formal departmental training program shall be paid five percent(5%) <br /> of their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour of assigned training. <br /> Police Records Clerks assigned responsibility to train new Police Records Clerks as part <br /> of a formal departmental training program shall be paid five percent(5%) of their regular <br /> hourly rate of pay for each hour of assigned training. <br /> Section 11. Holidays <br /> 11.1 Observed Holidays <br /> The holidays to be observed are as follows: <br /> a. January 1 <br /> b. The third Monday in January known as "Martin Luther King Day" <br /> c. The third Monday in February, known as "Washington Day" <br /> d. The last Monday in May known as "Memorial Day" <br /> e. July 4 <br /> f. The first Monday in September known as "Labor Day" <br /> g. The eleventh day of the eleventh month, known as "Veterans Day" <br /> h. Thanksgiving Day <br /> i. The Friday following Thanksgiving Day <br /> j. Christmas Eve Day <br /> k. December 25 <br /> In addition, the Library operation will be closed on Easter Sunday and employees will be <br /> given time off as a non-paid holiday. Employees may use available paid leave for time <br /> off, or record this day without pay for time off. The City reserves the right to modify this <br /> decision in the future to accommodate community and/or organizational concerns, with <br /> advance notice to the Union. <br /> 11.2 Floating Holidays <br /> During 2013, seven(7)Thirty-two (32)hours of floating holidays shall be credited to each <br /> employee to be observed on a date mutually agreed to by the individual employee and the <br /> Department Head or the Department Head's designee. • . . .. , -: • - . . - . <br /> - - • ! r_ <br /> -16 - <br />
