THE CITY OF 2 0 <br /> _ , ;4� CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> May 3, 2016 <br /> Human Resources <br /> TITLE: INTRODUCTION OF PROPOSED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE PLEASANTON CITY <br /> EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION/AFSCME LOCAL 955 WITH TERM ENDING <br /> MARCH 31, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> Pleasanton City Employees Association/AFSCME Local 955 (PCEA) expired on March <br /> 31, 2016. Representatives from the PCEA and the City of Pleasanton met and con- <br /> ferred in good faith and have agreed to a successor agreement. The City's practice is to <br /> introduce the key elements of the proposed MOU, receive input from the public and al- <br /> low for open discussion prior to adopting the agreement at the next public meeting. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council obtain public input and provide comment <br /> regarding the key elements of the tentative agreement negotiated between the <br /> Pleasanton City Employees Association/AFSCME Local 955 and the City of Pleasanton. <br /> This matter will be included in the agenda for the May 17, 2016 Council meeting for <br /> approval. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The financial impact to the City budget as a result of implementing the successor <br /> Memorandum of Understanding is approximately $4.75M through FY 2018/2019. <br />
