n <br />THE CITY OF <br />®n 1 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />April 19, 2016 <br />Community Development <br />Planning Division <br />TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON <br />IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT <br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2015 AND -AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL TO THE <br />CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT AND THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF PLANNING AND <br />RESEARCH <br />SUMMARY <br />A report on the status of the Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element has been <br />prepared for the 2015 calendar year, per State law. The report must be approved by <br />the local legislative body through a resolution and submitted to the State Department of <br />Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Governor's Office of Planning <br />and Research (OPR) within 60 days of April 1St each year to show the status of <br />implementation of the Housing Element goals, policies, and programs. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution accompanying this report <br />that approves the 2015 Housing Element Annual Progress Report and authorizes <br />submittal of the report to the HCD and OPR. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />No financial impact. <br />
