NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The Fire Inspector is ordered to abate the nuisance declared by <br />Resolution No. 16 -833 by causing the weeds, dirt, rubbish and refuse to be removed by <br />the City or a contractor awarded the work by the City for the removal of weeds, rubbish <br />or refuse, and for this purpose, the Fire Inspector (and /or the Fire Inspector's designee) <br />and /or the contractor may enter upon private property to abate the nuisance. Before the <br />weeds are abated by the City or a contractor, any property owner may remove the <br />weeds, rubbish or refuse at the property owner's own expense. <br />SECTION 2. The Fire Department or the contractor, as the case may be, shall <br />keep an account of the cost of abatement for each separate parcel of land where the <br />work is done and shall submit to the City Council for consideration, hearing and /or <br />objections, modification and confirmation, an itemized written report showing the cost, <br />all as more particularly described by Government Code Section 39574. <br />SECTION 3. The weed abatement costs, including a 100% administrative <br />charge, shall be the responsibility of the property owner of the parcel of land where the <br />work was done. <br />SECTION 4.
