CITY OF PLEASANTON 1 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES March 1, 2016 Vice Mayor Narum called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Narum, Mayor Thorne Absent: Councilmember Pentin AGENDA AMENDMENTS - None CONSENT CALENDAR City Manager Approved regular and special meeting minutes for February 16, 2016 2. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -830 authorizing submittal of an application to the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development for the housing related parks program 3. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -831 to approve ground lease and loan documents related to the loan of lower income housing funds for Kottinger Gardens Phase 1 Community Development 4. Actions of the Zoning Administrator 5. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -832 to approve the Altamont Settlement Agreement Education Advisory Board Expenditure Plan for fiscal year 2016 -2017 Engineering 6. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Jeff Katz Architecture Corp. in the amount of $112,000 to assess the physical condition of Pleasanton Fire Stations 2 (Stoneridge Mall) and 3 (Fairlands) and each stations ability to serve the needs of the fire department into the future; the use of $25,000 from the General Fund Contingency and allocate it to said project, CIP No. 158042; and for the Director of Engineering to increase the amount not to exceed $125,000 if additional services are determined necessary during the course of the study Accepted public improvements performed by ETIC Engineering, Inc. for the bridge improvements at various locations project, CIP No. 135008 -FED ID 5101(027); authorized the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion, the payment of retention in the amount of $31,560.82, the reimbursement of the West Las Positas Boulevard Street Sinking Repair project, CIP No. 115014 and the Streets General Fund should the City be reimbursed with Federal grant funds; ratified City Manager authorization to increase the project contingency by $60,000 utilizing funds from the West Las Positas Boulevard project; and appropriated $46,962 of additional funding from the Streets General Fund to cover the project shortfall resulting from the additional construction support services and required repair work
