F tJPLEfin
THE CRY O
i vided o th Ibg p d
a City- ,tror Distribution of ticket it
; A I o ] - u. -iii NMI
•-- Date G'C2i
From: Pam Holmes
Sent: Monday, March 21, 2016 11:52 AM
To: Eric Luchini
Subject: NO, NO, NO ON COSTCO
Hello Eric,
My husband and I have spoken with you a couple of times about our opposition to having a Costco on Johnson
Drive because of the additional impact it will have on the neighboring area. We've already got the traffic to deal
with at Stoneridge Shopping Center, 680 on and off ramps, nearness of 580 and traveling on Stoneridge Drive .
. . especially during the holidays and commute times and when the water recycle center is open.
I don't have a problem with some office development and, perhaps, a boutique hotel. But to put in something in
like Costco would overwhelm the already impacted area with additional traffic, noise and environmental issues.
Pleasanton sits between 2 Costco's that are each less than 5 miles from driveway to Costco. That's close enough.
Why on earth would we need another one any closer???
believe that residents who don't live in the Johnson Drive area think Costco is a great idea but for those of us
who live in neighboring tracts it would have a MAJOR impact.
Please pass this on to the City Council and Planning Commission for serious consideration. Hopefully, they will
listen to the residents in that area who will be most affected by high use commercial development. We are more
and more losing the homey, quaint atmosphere of Pleasanton. Downtown is wonderful but don't forget those of
us who live on the "outskirts" of downtown who will suffer with this kind of development so close our
residential areas.
Regards,
Pam & Cornell Holmes
Cornell&ram Holmes
SaMinir
ricasanton,CA 91-588
7R
Click here to report this email as spam.
2
