CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 779 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE SIZE OF THE HOUSING <br /> AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FROM FIVE TO <br /> SEVEN MEMBERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an independent Housing Authority has been created in the <br /> <br /> City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Chapter 611 (1975 Legislative Statutes), §34130 of <br /> the Health and Safety Code has been amended to require <br /> that two commissioners of the Housing Authority be tenant~ <br /> of the Housing Authority if the Housing Authority has <br /> tenants, and one of said tenant commissioners shall be <br /> over the age of 62 years if the Housing Authority has <br /> tenants of such age; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority has two projects known as Komandorsk <br /> Village and Kottinger Place which contain tenants, and <br /> the latter contains tenants 62 years of age and older; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of February 23, 1976, <br /> considered the question of increasing the size of the <br /> Housing Authority Board of Commissioners to comply with <br /> §34130 of the Health and Safety Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Housing Authority of the City of Pleasanton shall <br /> <br /> consist of a board of seven (7) commissioners. <br /> <br />Section 2. Two of said commissioners on the Housing Authority <br /> <br /> Board shall be tenants of the Housing Authority, and one <br /> of said tenant commissioners shall be 62 years of age or <br /> older. <br /> <br />Section 3. Commissioners of the Housing Authority Board shall be <br /> <br /> resident electors of the City of Pleasanton at thetime~ <br /> <br /> <br />
