CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> February 2, 2016 <br /> Mayor Thome called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Brown led <br /> the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> Interim City Attorney Julie Harryman noted no reportable action was taken. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Nelson Fialho noted no staff or council amendments. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> City Manager <br /> 1. Approved adjourned regular meeting and special meeting minutes of January 5, 2016 <br /> 2. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2138 amending Section 2.04.020 of the <br /> Municipal Code pertaining to Councilmember salaries <br /> Finance <br /> 3. Accepted the monthly disbursement and investment report for December 2015 <br /> 4. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No 16-820 authorizing the City Manager to execute <br /> a lease purchase agreement with US Bancorp for Golf Course Maintenance Equipment <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Olson to approve Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion carried <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thome <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 5. Public Comment <br /> Justin Brown expressed concerns regarding the behavior of paid signature gatherers and stated that <br /> personal voter information was exposed and that information was being misrepresented by the <br /> gatherers to Pleasanton voters. He displayed a video showing the actions of the signature gatherers. <br /> Kelly Cousins, an officer of the "Pleasanton Voters" grass roots organization, stated that her <br /> organization seeks to help protect the hillsides and quality of life in Pleasanton.
