CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 777 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 4-1.36 TO ARTICLE 1 (SOLICITORS), <br /> CHAPTER2 (SPECIAL PERMITS), TITLE IV (HEALTH, SAFETY, MORAL <br /> AND GENERAL WELFARE) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON, RELATING TO SUSPENSION OF SOLICITORS PERMITS <br /> DURING PARADES <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 4-1.36 is added to Article 1 (Solicitors of <br /> Certain Business), Chapter2 (Special Permits), Title <br /> IV (Health, Safety, Moral and General Welfare) of the <br /> Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> ~4-1.36 Suspension of Solicitors Permits During <br /> Parades. No solicitation or vending <br /> shall be permitted on the public right- <br /> of-way along any parade route during any <br /> parade subject to City of Pleasanton <br /> Parade Ordinance unless a special vending <br /> permit had been issued by the Director of <br /> Public Safety or by the parade sponsor <br /> with the approval of the Director of <br /> Public Safety. The special permit shall <br /> be consistent with ~4-2.1710 (Vending, <br /> Special Vending Permit) of this code. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) <br /> <br /> days after the date of its final passage and adoption <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once within fif- <br /> <br /> teen (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIMES", <br /> a newspaper of general circulation, published in the <br /> City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on February 9 , 1976. <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton on February23, 1976 by the following vote: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox and <br /> Mayor Kinney <br /> NOES: NONE <br /> <br /> William .
