Jean Jones named me as her Executor (Also in Attachment 1).
My primary tasks have been three:
1. Consolidate the financial assets.
2. Conserve and clean up the historic home and property.
3. Perform the historic studies and property analysis needed for the City of Pleasanton
as beneficiary to have clear options on how to proceed.
Based on the detailed historic study and consultation with City Staff, the two primary
options for the beneficiary will be:
a. For the City to take ownership of the historic home at 309 Neal Street, rehabilitate it
to public building standards while preserving its historic character, and use it as a
museum or public building.
b. For the City to authorize sale of the historic home at 309 Neal Street to a private
party subject to covenants requiring its historic rehabilitation for re-use as a private
residence, while directing the proceeds of the Estate to an endowment for the Amador
Livermore Valley Historical Society ("Historical Society").
