AGREEMENT AND BILL OF SALE <br /> FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY <br /> THIS AGREEMENT AND BILL OF SALE is made this 31st day of December, 2015, between <br /> the City of Pleasanton, a municipal corporation ("City") and Tim Martens (``Martens"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> Whereas. City at its expense purchased "Camo'", a police dog, and paid for the training <br /> of Camo; and <br /> Whereas, Martens for numerous years was the handler of Camo, and kept the dog at his <br /> residence when Camo was not on duty; and <br /> Whereas, after ten years of service to the City, Camo, has decided to "retire"; and <br /> Whereas, Martens has offered to purchase Camo for his own; and <br /> Now therefore, in consideration of the mutual promises herein, the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. City shall sell Camo to Martens for the sum of one dollar and ownership shall pass <br /> to Martens upon payment. <br /> 2. City shall pay up to $600.00 per year for medical costs incurred for the care of Camo <br /> over the next three calendar years. The care must be provided by the existing City- <br /> approved veterinarian and billed directly to the City as is done under current practice. <br /> 3. Other than as provided in paragraph 2, Martens shall assume all risk of loss and <br /> expenses related to the care and maintenance of Camo, including all costs in excess of <br /> the $600 agreed to be paid by the City annually. <br /> 4.
