ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING SECTION 1 OF <br /> ORDINANCE 1422 AND SECTION 2.04.020 TO THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE CONCERNING COUNCIL SALARIES <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance 1422 and Section 2.04.020 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "2.04.020 Salaries. <br /> The salary of each councilmember is One Thousand Forty-Five Dollars ($1,045) per <br /> month." <br /> Section 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br /> days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton, and shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect immediately <br /> after the start of the next City Council term of office in 2016. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on January 19, 2016, by the following vote. <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Jerry Thorne, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Julie Harryman, Interim City Attorney <br />
