Fields will provide alternative play times and they hope it will attract and retain youth <br /> to sports in the City. Presentation of proclamation proclaiming October National Bullying Prevention Month and <br /> October 21, 2015 as Unity Day <br /> Councilmember Narum invited Youth Commissioners and staff to the podium to speak on National <br /> Bullying Prevention Month and Unity Day. <br /> Becky Hopkins, Community Services Manager spoke about the Commission's unanimous support to <br /> support October 21, 2015 as Unity Day and to support the National Bullying Prevention Month which <br /> aligns with the Youth Master Plan goals. <br /> Taylor Sowers, Youth Commissioner thanked the Council for the proclamation and encouraged <br /> everybody to wear orange on October 2151 to support bullying prevention. <br /> Commissioner Narum read the proclamation into the record and thanked the Youth Commission for <br /> their work on preventing bullying. Presentation of Commendation to the Korean-American Parents Association and Consul General <br /> of Korea expressing appreciation for their gift of Korean language materials to the Pleasanton <br /> Library <br /> Councilmember Narum called upon representatives from the Korean American Parents Association <br /> (KPA) to the podium. She read and presented the commendation to the association. Brief comments <br /> followed from the President of the KPA who thanked the City Council for the commendation. Public Comment <br /> Mitch Smith, owner/operator of Solar Technology Builders, Oakley, spoke in support of the Hero (Home <br /> Energy Renovation Opportunity) Program which is part of the PACE program. He urged the City <br /> Council to conduct the necessary research to adopt the program in Pleasanton and spoke briefly about <br /> the program. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 20. Public Hearing: P15-0248/PUD-111, P15-0249/P15-0390/P15-0250 and P15-0465, Ponderosa <br /> Homes II Inc. - Consider introduction of an ordinance and resolutions for a General Plan <br /> Amendment, Rezoning, Planned Unit Development (PUD) Development Plan, Modifications to an <br /> approved site plan, Conditional Use Permit, Growth Management Agreement, Affordable Housing <br /> Agreement, and Negative Declaration for approximately 6.22-acres located at 3410-3450 <br /> Cornerstone Court, allowing for the development of 25 residential units, operation of a private <br /> school, and other site changes <br /> Planning Manager Adam Weinstein presented the staff report.
