CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 772 AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING THE PLEASANTON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 723 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Ordinance No. 723 (An Ordinance Declaring the Need for a Redevelopment Agency to Function in the City of Pleasanton and Declaring the City Council to be the Agency) adopted on May 29, 1974, formed the Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency; and WHEREAS, a proposed redevelopment plan was submitted to a joint meeting of the City Council and Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency on August 10, 1975; and WHEREAS, consideration of said plan was continued to November 11, 1975 in order to allow for public input; and IgHEREAS, townhall type meetings and small meetings were held durin the interim period; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce proposed a revised plan which was modified and presented at the November 11, 1975 meeting; and I~tEREAS, citizen opposition to redevelopment continued to exist prior to, during and after the November 11, 1975 meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that redevelopment is an appropriate mechanism to accomplish the goals set forth in the revised plan but not at the expense of community unity;and WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency, at a special meeting held on December 8, 1975, executed letters giving their unanimous consent to dissolution of the agency; and I~EREAS, the City Council received said letters of consent at its regular meeting of December 8, 1975. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency does not have any outstanding bonded indebtedness. Section 2.
