CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 772 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING THE PLEASANTON REDEVELOPMENT <br /> AGENCY AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 723 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Ordinance <br />No. 723 (An Ordinance Declaring the Need for a Redevelopment Agency <br />to Function in the City of Pleasanton and Declaring the City <br />Council to be the Agency) adopted on May 29, 1974, formed the <br />Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposed redevelopment plan was submitted to a joint <br />meeting of the City Council and Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency on <br />August 10, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, consideration of said plan was continued to November 11, <br />1975 in order to allow for public input; and <br /> <br />IgHEREAS, townhall type meetings and small meetings were held durin <br />the interim period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce proposed a revised plan which was <br />modified and presented at the November 11, 1975 meeting; and <br />I~tEREAS, citizen opposition to redevelopment continued to exist <br />prior to, during and after the November 11, 1975 meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes that redevelopment is an <br />appropriate mechanism to accomplish the goals set forth in the <br />revised plan but not at the expense of community unity;and <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency, at a special meeting <br />held on December 8, 1975, executed letters giving their unanimous <br />consent to dissolution of the agency; and <br /> <br />I~EREAS, the City Council received said letters of consent at its <br />regular meeting of December 8, 1975. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency does not have any <br /> <br /> outstanding bonded indebtedness. <br /> <br />Section 2. The unanimous written consent of the members of the <br /> <br /> <br />
