Attachment 4 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING CHAPTER 5.28 BI DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, based in part on recommendations of the Pleasanton Downtown Association, and the stated purpose of the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District (BID) to support commercial economic vitality, the BID will continue to support new businesses in the Downtown and remove the exemption for such businesses from the first year annual BID assessment; and WHEREAS, the BID boundaries are to be modified to include commercial properties and exclude residential properties to more accurately reflects which properties benefits from the BID. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposed amendment to the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding is consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan and Downtown Specific Plan, and that this amendment will not cause a significant effect on the environment as provided in Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section 15061(b)(3). SECTION 2. The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times", a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's Office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on November 3, 2015, by the following vote: Ayes: Noes: Absent: Abstain: Jerry Thome, Mayor
