Attachment 4 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 5.28 BI DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON BUSINESS <br /> IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, based in part on recommendations of the Pleasanton Downtown <br /> Association, and the stated purpose of the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement <br /> District (BID) to support commercial economic vitality, the BID will continue to support new <br /> businesses in the Downtown and remove the exemption for such businesses from the first <br /> year annual BID assessment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the BID boundaries are to be modified to include commercial <br /> properties and exclude residential properties to more accurately reflects which properties <br /> benefits from the BID. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposed amendment to the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding is consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan and <br /> Downtown Specific Plan, and that this amendment will not cause a significant effect on <br /> the environment as provided in Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section <br /> 15061(b)(3). <br /> SECTION 2. The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended as set forth in <br /> Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> SECTION 3. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times", a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br /> (15) days in the City Clerk's Office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton on November 3, 2015, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Jerry Thome, Mayor <br />
