During the initial six (6) month trial period, the tennis courts were made available for <br /> community use as follows: <br /> June 20 —August 24, 2015 <br /> Mondays — Fridays: 6:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. <br /> Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. <br /> Sundays: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. <br /> August 25 — December 13, 2015 <br /> Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. <br /> Sundays: 1:00 p.m. —4:00 p.m. <br /> In addition, the Shared Use Agreement outlined the rules, rights and responsibilities of <br /> each agency, as well as insurance requirements and the respective indemnification <br /> obligations. At the end of the six (6) month trial, the Agreement may be extended and/or <br /> expanded. <br /> On April 27, 2015, staff presented the draft Shared Use Agreement at the joint meeting <br /> of the City Council and Board of Trustees. Both the City Council and Board of Trustees <br /> agreed to forward the Agreement to both the Board of Trustees and the City Council for <br /> further review and discussion. On May 26, 2015, the Board of Trustees approved the <br /> Agreement and requested that it be forwarded to the City Council for their final review <br /> and consideration. <br /> On June 16, 2015, the City Council approved the Agreement between the Pleasanton <br /> Unified School District (PUSD) and the City of Pleasanton for the shared use of the <br /> tennis courts at Amador Valley High School (AVHS). <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> On August 26, 2015, at a meeting between the City and the Pleasanton Unified School <br /> District staff, City of Pleasanton staff requested that the Agreement be extended through <br /> June 30, 2016, in order for the City to better measure the usage of the tennis courts and <br /> determine future investments in the courts. <br /> Subsequent to the August 26th meeting, District staff met to discuss the possible impacts <br /> of extending the Agreement. As a result, District staff supported the City's requests, and <br /> forwarded their recommendation to the Board of Trustees for their review and <br /> consideration. <br /> On October 13, 2015, the Pleasanton Unified School District's Board of Trustees <br /> approved extending the Agreement between the Pleasanton Unified School District and <br /> the City of Pleasanton for the shared use of the tennis courts at Amador Valley High <br /> School (AVHS) through June 30, 2016. <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
