Planning Commission, October 14, 2015 <br /> Commissioners Present: Nancy Allen, Jack Balch, Greg O'Connor, David Nagler, <br /> Gina Piper, and Herb Ritter <br /> Commissioner Absent: None <br /> P15-0384. City of Pleasanton <br /> (1) Consider an amendment to the Pleasanton Municipal Code to expand design review <br /> authority to include the first floor of historic homes in residential zoning districts within <br /> the Downtown Specific Plan Area; and (2) review the Historic Resource Survey of the <br /> residential structures Downtown that were built before 1942. <br /> Commissioners O'Connor and Piper recused themselves due to a conflict of interest. <br /> Action recommended: Recommended acceptance of the Historic Resource Survey and <br /> approval of the Pleasanton Municipal Code amendment <br /> Action taken: Recommended acceptance of the Historic Resource Survey and approval <br /> of the Pleasanton Municipal Code amendment relating to historic <br /> resources. The Commission also recommended that the City Council <br /> discuss the merits of pursuing a separate Municipal Code amendment to <br /> expand design review authority to the exterior of non-historic single-family <br /> homes in residential zoning districts in the Downtown Specific Plan Area. <br /> Vote: 4-0-2 <br /> P15-0432, Gerard Sobrero, Appellant; Denise Alioto, Applicant <br /> Appeal of the Zoning Administrator's approval of a Conditional Use Permit to operate a <br /> Large Family Daycare for a maximum of 12 children at the existing residence located at <br /> 3763 Muirwood Drive. Zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (One-Family Residential) <br /> District. <br /> Action recommended: Deny the appeal and uphold the Zoning Administrator's approval <br /> Action taken: Denied the appeal and upheld the Zoning Administrator's approval, per <br /> staff recommendation, with a modification to the Conditions of Approval <br /> to require the applicant to park in the garage. <br /> Vote: 5-0 <br /> Submitted by: Approved by: <br /> Gerry Beaudin, Director of P -& Nelson Fialho <br /> Community Development City Manager <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br />
